Lewin Bynard, b. ca. 1750
Lewin1, the earliest-known ancestor of the Binnard family, was born say 1750, probably in Poland. The date and place of his death, his occupation, and the name of his wife are unknown. The only references to him are in the records of his descendants. In 1809 Jakob Lewin (Jakob, son of Lewin) reported the birth of a son, Mosiek, in Rypin, Poland.[1] In 1811 Petzel Lewin was a witness to the birth of Jakob’s son Bendek.[2] We know that Jakob and Petzel were brothers. In 1822, Jakob was a witness to the marriage of Petzel’s daughter, Antka, to Kalman Sztencel. In the record Jakob is called paternal uncle of the bride.[3]
Children:
1. Petzel2, born 1773-1777; married Mycla
2. Jakob, born 1779-1785; married Szora/Sara
